Garden Tour 2017

On Sunday May 21st, 2017, the Monterey Heights garden tour took place for the second time.  It was a gorgeous day and although the fog was trying to move in around 3PM, it retreated and left the sky sunny for the remainder of the afternoon. The aim of the garden tour was to display the gorgeous greenery that is growing among us and to to stimulate social interactions among our neighbors living in Monterey Heights. Five homeowners volunteered to open their gardens to the neighborhood and the variation on display was wonderful. The neighbors went from drought tolerant gardens to a tropical rain forest.  Visitors took a leisurely walk through the gardens, mingled and partook of the refreshments.  Many neighbors were enthusiastic and started planning additions and changes to their own gardens. We hope the garden tour becomes an annual event.
